Know where you are. Know what you need. Know what to do.

The Movement & Strength Assessment is a thorough one-on-one evaluation of how you move and where you are physically. Using standardized tests, I assess your balance, strength, mobility, and movement quality — then I put it together in a report that tells you exactly where you stand and what you should be working on.

The assessment is designed to be used in two ways. For self-directed clients, it functions as a coaching and exercise prescription session — you leave with a clear, individualized program you can take and follow on your own. For personal training clients, every new client begins with an assessment, because I need to know exactly where you are before I can build the right program for you.

I am also available for periodic check-ins and progress reassessments, either by phone or in person, to review how things are going and adjust your program as needed.

No. The assessment is designed to meet you where you currently are. Tests and movements can be modified based on your experience, ability and current limitations.

Is this only for people who have pain or injuries?

No. Some people come because they're dealing with limitations, but many simply want to understand their current strength, mobility and movement and make sure they're focusing on the right things.

Is this physical therapy?

No. The BodyGrades Movement & Strength Assessment is a fitness and exercise assessment. It is not intended to diagnose or treat an injury or medical condition and does not replace evaluation or treatment by an appropriate healthcare professional.

What do I receive afterward?

You'll receive a personalized BodyGrades Movement & Strength Report summarizing your strengths, areas that deserve attention, primary training priorities and recommended next steps.

Do I have to sign up for personal training afterward?

No. The assessment is a standalone service. You can use the recommendations independently. If you'd like help implementing them, we can discuss appropriate BodyGrades training options.

Can I do this after finishing physical therapy?

Yes. For many people, an assessment can be useful after they've been discharged from physical therapy and are ready to transition toward general fitness and strength training. If you currently have medical or rehabilitation restrictions, those should be addressed with your healthcare provider before participating.

How much does it cost?

The Movement & Strength Assessment is $159 and typically takes 90 minutes.
